Tarcisio "Taz" Ramos Dos Santos's Alone Season 10 Gear List: All 10 Items
2026-05-14
Spoiler note: this covers how Alone Season 10 ended for Tarcisio "Taz" Ramos Dos Santos.
Tarcisio "Taz" Ramos Dos Santos placed fifth in Season 10, lasting 40 days at Reindeer Lake before starvation forced him to tap out. That's roughly two-thirds of runner-up James "Wyatt" Black's 64-day run and a little over half of winner Alan Tenta's 66 days. Ramos Dos Santos's own page has more on his run, and our Season 10 guide covers the rest of the field.
Born and raised in Brazil, where he lived mostly without running water or electricity, Ramos Dos Santos came into the season with a genuinely off-grid background before he ever picked up ten items for a television show. His list doesn't carry brand names in the recorded research, but the categories are worth a close look, because they skip a saw entirely.
The full list
| Item | Category | Notes |
|---|---|---|

| Ferro rod | Fire starting | Brand not recorded |
| Cooking pot | Cooking | Brand not recorded |
| Axe | Cutting tool | Brand not recorded |
| Multitool | Utility | Brand not recorded |
| Fishing line and hooks | Fishing | Brand not recorded |
| Paracord | Utility | Brand not recorded |
| Snare wire | Trapping | Brand not recorded |
| Bow and arrows | Hunting | Brand not recorded |
| Tarp | Shelter | Brand not recorded |
The tarp in place of a saw stands out. Most of the Season 10 field carried both an axe and a saw for shelter and firewood work; Ramos Dos Santos carried an axe alone and used his tenth slot on a tarp instead, betting on faster shelter setup over more efficient wood processing. It's a fully sourced list, just without specific product detail. For the categories themselves, see the axe, tarp, bow and arrows, and snare wire pages.
What the list says about his run
Forty days is a middling result for the season, ahead of the bottom half of the field but well short of the top three. Ramos Dos Santos still carried the same food-gathering redundancy that shows up on most contestants' lists (a bow, a fishing kit, and snare wire together), so his tap-out wasn't a result of betting everything on one method. Starvation after 40 days points instead to how hard Reindeer Lake was to live off, a location that also produced medical evacuations and starvation-related tap-outs further down the placement table.
The tarp-over-saw trade is the one genuinely distinctive choice in his kit. Whether it cost him time or saved him time on shelter work isn't in the recorded data, but it's the clearest sign that his list wasn't just a copy of the standard Season 10 loadout.
How it compares across the season
Season 10 splits cleanly into three tiers: a top three that cleared 55 days, a middle tier around 40 days that includes Ramos Dos Santos, and a bottom half that fell to 20 days or fewer. Across the wider franchise, only 101 of 187 recorded Alone contestants have a gear list at all, and swapping a saw for a tarp, as Ramos Dos Santos did, is uncommon enough to be worth flagging rather than treating as standard.
For the winner's full kit, see Alan Tenta's gear breakdown, and for the official item limits every contestant worked within, alone-rules has the details.
