That is a different kind of absence than the categories with no example at all, and it makes the buying advice unusually simple.

The job it would do is already covered by an item with an actual record. Paracord's inner strands are a documented floss substitute in general bushcraft practice, and paracord itself sits on a large share of the standard loadouts with contestant verified products behind it, carried for shelter, snares, and repairs. A hygiene thread that occupies a whole slot cannot compete with cordage that does five jobs and incidentally covers this one.

So there is nothing we would buy here for an Alone style list. Floss belongs in the kit you keep at home, not in a ten item allowance where it would displace food, fire, or warmth. If oral care is genuinely on your mind for a long stay, the field's one supported hygiene pick is a bar of soap, which at least has carriers, including a winner, behind it.
