The Alone Australia Season 2 Cast: Where Are They Now
2026-06-15
Spoiler note: this post covers the outcome of Alone Australia season 2, including who won.
Season 2 of Alone Australia carried the show's Australian branding but was actually filmed in Fiordland on New Zealand's South Island, one of the wettest and coldest sites the franchise has used. Ten contestants went in chasing the $250,000 AUD prize, and the season produced one of the tightest finishes in the franchise: one single day separated the top two. Here is the whole cast in finishing order.
| Placement | Contestant | Days lasted |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Krzysztof Wojtkowski | 64 |
| 2 | Suzan Muir | 63 |
| 3 | Andreas Lundin | 57 |
| 4 | Tamika Simpson | 53 |
| 5 | Rick J. Petersen | 38 |
| 6 | Jack | 16 |
| 7 | Chace Leitch | 10 |
| 8 | Jason Allwood | 8 |
| 9 | Leanne Mitchell | 4 |
| 10 | Mike Hayes | 2 |
The final two
Krzysztof Wojtkowski, a 39-year-old aquaculturalist who raises barramundi, won without ever tapping out: a scheduled medical check on day 64 ruled he could not safely continue, at which point producers revealed he had outlasted everyone. He ate no meat for the entire 64 days. Since the show he has gone back to the fish, and as of mid-2026 he is reported to still work in aquaculture while mixing survival content with Polish cooking, including a community pierogi-making class in 2024 and an appearance at the Logie Awards when the show won best reality competition. Our full Krzysztof profile has the longer version.
Suzan Muir, a wilderness adventure guide who leaned heavily on foraging, tapped out on day 63, one day short. She cited missing home and family at the time, and later revealed heart issues at the reunion. Since the season she is reported to work in nature-connection facilitation and mentorship programs, which is a straight continuation of the guiding work she came in with.
The rest of the top half
Andreas Lundin, a personal trainer and subsistence hunter, made day 57 before pulling out after losing 30 percent of his starting body weight. Tamika Simpson, an off-gridder and former police officer, left on day 53 when she decided she was unwilling to kill animals for food, one of the more principled exits the show has aired. Rick J. Petersen, a survival educator and former SAS soldier, went 38 days before missing family ended his run.
The bottom half
Jack, a tradesman and wild game hunter whose surname was never publicly disclosed, lasted 16 days before the lack of food got him. Chace Leitch, a Defence Force combat engineer, tapped on day 10 with a pregnant wife at home. Youth worker Jason Allwood left on day 8 citing mental health concerns and hunger, Leanne Mitchell went home to her family on day 4, and Mike Hayes, at 60 the oldest of the cast, was medically evacuated with chest pain on day 2. Public post-show updates on most of this group are thin, so we have kept these entries to who they were and how their runs ended.
Two seasons in, the Australian edition had crowned two champions who out-lasted rather than out-hunted their fields. For the full franchise list, see the winners page, and the FAQ explains how the international versions differ from the US original.
