Episodes 1-6: an early exit and a big kill

"Enter The Circle" ends abruptly when Cubby Hoover accidentally shoots an arrow into his own thigh near the femoral artery, tapping out on day 4 as the season's first exit. "Opportunity Cost" is quieter: Timber Cleghorn gets within bow range of a bull moose using cow calls but misses with both arrows. "Fortune" brings a second exit, Peter Albano, who taps out on day 8 overwhelmed by missing his family despite hauling in roughly 10,000 calories of fish. "Legacy" sees Dusty Blake tap out on day 10 with severe stomach pain and constipation he suspected was giardia. "Something In The Air" is the season's turning point: Timber Cleghorn kills an estimated 1,200-pound moose and builds a fortified cache he calls "Fort Moose Meat," the same episode Michela Carriere taps out on day 18 from the mental toll of isolation. "Murphy's Law" brings a medical evacuation: Jake Messinger is pulled on day 21 after twelve days without a bowel movement and a suspected bowel obstruction.

Episodes 7-12: the grind to day 84

"One Pike at a Time" sees Isaiah Tuck tap out on day 23 with chest pains, while Dub Paetz starts building confidence on steady pike catches. "The Marten Chronicles" is a lighter, no-tap-out episode built around pine martens repeatedly raiding food caches. "The Wormhole" brings Sarah Poynter's exit around day 42, driven by severe kidney pain she feared could cause permanent damage. "Symphony of Solitude" follows the final three, Dub Paetz, Timber Cleghorn, and William Larkham Jr., as the river starts to freeze; Dub builds a homemade stringed instrument and a wolverine raids Timber's cache. "Collapse" finds all three finalists passing a grueling day-75 medical check, with Timber developing frostnip on his toes. The finale, "Into the Dark," closes it out in near-zero temperatures: Dub Paetz taps out on day 80 citing starvation and isolation, Timber Cleghorn follows on day 83 feeling he'd already gained what he needed from the experience, and William Larkham Jr. is declared the winner on day 84, the show's third-longest completed run after seasons 7 and 3.
